[THIN] Re: 256 colors vs. 16-bit color

I have heard some people report getting better compression with 16-bit
color vs. 256, resulting in lower bandwidth consumption.  It seems
counter-intuitive to me, however it makes sense when you consider that
Windows dithers interface colors the color can't be accurately
represented.
