It's hard to believe, that it was just on Friday, May 26, 2017, that I did
Episode 1 of this program. Well, we're finally up to 50 episodes, as of
Friday, June 22, 2018, and what better way to celebrate this milestone, than
by rockin' around the clock, and having ourselves a good, shake, rattle and
roll, as we flashback to the decade of sock hops, drive ins, and burger
diners where for a quarter, you could play your favorite tune on the
jukebox. You'll be happy to know, that the jukebox provided for this
special, is 100% free, so no quarters required! However, it will require you
to shake, rattle, and roll out of bed, bright and early on the morning of
Friday, June 22, 2018, and flashback to a decade that seems by today's
standards, has been long forgotten, and was the start of much of the music,
that eventually, led to what we hear today, as well, it had to start
somewhere, right?
This special will be airing on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 07:00 a.m. to
10:00 a.m. and I'll only be accepting requests from the years, 1950 through
1959. That's, 1 9 5 0 through 1 9 5 9, in the event you didn't hear your
screen reader correctly, as a lot of music from this 10 year period we'll be
covering, and the following 10 year period, sound very similar, so wanted to
make myself clear.
