Hello Listeners,
It's hard to believe, that back on June 21, 2008, I took my first step into
the world of Internet radio broadcasting, by doing my very first show, which
eventually, turned into The Innovative Spinning Thrills of Variety Show, and
remained my staple show, for roughly the first 5 years and 9 months of my
years of doing Internet radio, until I retired it in March of 2014. While I
put that show to pasture, that didn't stop me, as I continued to cover for
other broadcasters, took over another retired show, The Saturday Night
Variety Show for a time, over the years of 2015 and 2016, and then, of
course, returned to The Q Online, as I had broadcasted here two other times
during my decade long journey, back in 2009 and 2010, with Good Old Variety
under the DJ name I have now, and The Random Musical Bathtub of Fun, while
experimenting with the short-lived DJ name of DJ Bubblehead, but even though
those shows were short-lived, and I have had my breaks every now and then,
I've kept at it for 10 years, still doing Flashback Friday to this very day,
but it's thanks to The Innovative Spinning Thrills of Variety Show, that
started it all for me, and opened the doors to an incredible hobby, that has
allowed me to share my love of music with others, all over the world, and
make some new friends. And so, to celebrate this milestone, for one
afternoon ONLY, I invite you all, to come join me, for a very special
presentation, of the show, that started it all, The Innovative Spinning
Thrills of Variety Show, better known by many of my long time listeners, as
ISTOV, for short.
You'll be able to partake in this 3 hour thrill ride of musical fun, on
Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 04:00 p.m. to 07:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time,
immediately following the premier of another new show, Afternoon Delights
with Awesome Abby, that will be premiering before me that day, and leading
right into Thursday evening's presentation, of Groovin' with Izzy,
Thunderin' Thursday, with none other than the karaoke lovin' DJ herself,
Izzy!
We're obviously going to have a wide variety of music on this program, along
with your requests and dedications, and I'll talk about the history of the
show, my history as an Internet radio broadcaster, and much, much more. Who
knows, maybe we'll even bring back another popular staple that use to occur
during ISTOV back in the day, provided, enough listeners are around and
interested in playing, that's right, maybe we'll even get a good game of
Farkle or some other game going on either RS Games or the Game Room Client,
if people are around and want to play. Keep in mind that this will only
happen though, if we get a lot of listeners interest in doing this, and
requests are submitted ahead of time, since we are sandwiched between 2
other broadcasters, and don't have available to us what we had back when
this show originally existed, again, I'll talk more about that on the
program when discussing the history of this show. Game or no game though,
we're going to have lots of fun, as it will be like old times with the music
hopefully, as for once, you won't have to get out of bed at the crack of
dawn to listen, and here are the ways to make requests or get in contact
