The wind map shows winds (presumably surface) blowing straight N-S from the Gulf coast to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and the western coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. Thus it seems unlikely that a migratory flight will depart these regions this evening. Whatever trans-Gulf migrants were grounded testerday and last night seem likely to depart at dusk. Expect a bright lift-off image around half an hour to 45 minutes after sunset. Thus a lull between fallout last night and departure tonight that should last a day or so. John C.
