a pleasant couple of hours early this morning at Cook's Slough.  I walked
through the gate before the opening at 730.  As Cinderella and I approached the
inside parking lot I notice a lot of running little birds.  At first I though
Quail but then I realize parents were with the birds.  Probably twenty some
birds all together...chicks and parents...Wild Turkeys...

I am sorry for some of the quality of pictures...I get my new nikon next week
and my new lens...

Also, to I had lots of Verdins all over the slough...
I don't remember these birds being so frequent...

The Black Vulture Chicks I have been observing the past couple months finally
flew the coup this week.  Both birds were near the pen up in a close tree.
When Cinderella chased one of them the mother came by to make sure there was no
problem.
