All:

Got an email about seeing a close-up look of a male Golden-cheeked Warbler
at the top of Comanche Lookout City of San Antonio Park
http://www.sanantonio.gov/parksandrec/directory_comanche_lookout.aspx .
The observer had participated on the Golden-cheeked Warbler hike that James
Sheppard and I led at Government Canyon State Natural Area
http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/government-canyon on March 29. Comanche
Lookout City Park is a 96 acre site that is heavily used by walkers and
runners, is next two streets that have heavy traffic, and surrounded by
suburbia. These factors suggest that this bird was migrating to a more
suitable place to establish a territory, court a female, etc. This sighting
is a good illustration that birds are not always where they are "supposed to
be".

Special thanks to the observer.
