I spent a couple of hours on the Laureles division of the King Ranch in Kleberg County this morning, primarily looking for Burrowing Owls. There has been a Great-horned Owl in the area we usually find the Burrowing Owls, and I wanted to check the status. Didn't see the GHOW or any BUOW's, but did see several Sprague's Pipits and a good sized flock of Mountain Plovers. The Plovers were spread out over a fairly wide area, but there were at least 20 individuals. -- Jim Sinclair (TX-ESA) TOS Life Member Kingsville, TX "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." - Albert Einstein Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
