This is a busy chore day but did do some property birding and about 35
minutes at a couple of places in elgin....Not what I expected after such a
good fron...Few warblers were noted, but there is a push of White-throated
and White-crowned Sparrows around my place. The only fairly interesting
bird was a Rose-breated Grosbeak "pinking" in Elgin, and finally spotted in
a budding pecan. Did not for shorebirds. Might be a good nightjar night
tonight tho.
