Good morning Texbirders,
We did some unintentional birding this morning during our Sunrise Photography
Morning and had great sightings other than the beautiful sunrise! A Brown
Creeper was sneaking through the trees near the Pond Center and picnic areas.
The Great Kiskadee was heard throughout the ponds, tower, and prairie but was
not sighted. We have a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks patrolling the park and
gathering nesting material. The kinglet trail was busy with a Brown Thrasher,
Hermit Thrush, and an armadillo!
We will have another Sunrise Photography Morning on Saturday, February
13th-registration is required! Please check out our Facebook page, website, or
send me an email for more details.
Our next bird walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 20th at 8:00am.
