Hello Texbirders,
RFI: I am heading to the Houston area on the 26th & 27th of January:

Broad-billed Hummingbird at 114 Mesquite in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County:
do I stalk the neighborhood or is there a welcoming homeowner with
feeders? Has it even been seen after the 20th?

Le Conte's Sparrow in Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR: Is this the single
best place for this species? (I saw a report of 29 there under ebird
review currently) If not, where? Also, do I need to be on the refuge
before dawn for these?

Houston Area: This will be my first trip to Houston, so any insider tips
are more than welcome. My general itinerary will be Attwater NWR, Lake
Jackson for the Broad-billed Hummingbird, Anahuac for the Tundra Swans, and
both afternoons looking for the Greater Pewee.

Sorry I missed the TOS meeting last weekend, but I was busy showing Alan
Contreras from Oregon around the Valley and lower coast, I know a few of
you have corresponded with him over the years.

V/R,
Graham Floyd
San Antonio, TX
