The area around Rockland in Tyler County has always been good for the warbler. South of the Jasper / Tyler county line. Turn east and go thru Rockland, Tyler County, on CR 1014, proceed east and work the area 5-6 miles toward CR R255. There is great habitat around Carter and Rocky Springs for this bird. County Road R255 will take you towards Beans and Trout Creek Lodge near Hwy 63 and CR R255. Once you cross the Neches River, you will back in Jasper County where the habitat changes to wooded bottom lands and there the warblers are not found. Great area, dirt roads and dusty, with small pines 4-5 feet tall.
