************************************************************************************************************* Whoa still lots of larger migrants in town tho I did not do a walk around...we need about 100 lbs of oranges down here for the Orioles. Hey a bunch of us collected together for dinner and drinks late this evening. As we sat out in the friend's yard, their neighbors yard had a huge mulberry that was just piled up with Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Orioles, Buntings, Blue Grosbeaks, Tanagers and a Red-eyed Vireo...those folks that were not so much birders, I think became birders tonight...It was pretty incredible I just went out to the truck and back in town somewhere to the west I could hear a Chuck-wills-widow....Might sound trivial, but after 20 years It may be only the second or third I have actually heard singing in old Port O'Connor, though we find them on day roosts regularly...Made my evening.
