Texbirders:

A Peregrine Falcon has been seen twice at the Lewisville Lake Environmental
Learning Area since December 14. The bird has been patrolling the area along
the dam, and has engaged in aerial dogfights with Northern Harriers, Ospreys,
and Red-tailed Hawks. It seems the bird might stay in the area for a while.
LLELA is open Friday--Sunday (7 a.m--5 p.m.), and there is a $5/person entrance
fee. I'd recommend looking for the Peregrine either from the parking lot at the
river outlet at the base of the dam or at the head of the Bittern Marsh Trail.
Gatehouse staff can direct birders to either location.

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most
amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. --Edward Abbey
