Sorry for late post but first time I could get out this year as wife had knee
replacement surgery late last year. On Monday I visited the Pearland WWT ponds
on Magnolia St in Pearland for quick hour of birding. I found the following;
3 Turkey Vultures
40 White Pelicans
42 White Ibis,
18 Neotropic Cormorants
2 Double-crested Cormorants
1 Spotted Sandpiper
2 Killdeer
1 Great Blue Heron
2 Little Blue Heron (one white morph)
2 Great Egrets
1 Snowy
1 Cattle Egret
25 Coots
1 Laughing Gull
1 Bald Eagle
1 Osprey
1 Belted Kingfisher
Also visited the retention pond west of the WWT plant off of Magnolia and found
these birds
30 Coots
1 Tricolored Heron
3 Canvasback Ducks
1 Belted Kingfisher
What a beautiful day to bird!
