S to SSW winds dominated the western Gulf. Wind speeds averaged 25 knots at
Brownsville and Corpus dropping to around 15 at Lake Charles. A light
flight of trans-Gulf migrants was approaching all stations. What there
doesn't seem to be is a "trigger" to produce a fallout. Under present
conditions migrants seem most likely to pass on well inland before
landing.
