[texbirds] Mockingbird behavior

I was up late last night, and suddenly at around 11:30 PM, I heard a
Mockingbird sounding off outside. It went on for about 20 minutes, full
vocal range.
I have never heard one in the middle of the night in the dark like that.
Has anyone else?
