I spent most of Saturday exploring Lynn County and had a really good day.
Most interesting: a strong movement of Cassin's Kingbirds and a phenomenal,
by our region's standards, movement of Spotted Towhees: though I don't
mention each sighting in the following list of highlights, I spotted at
least 15 Spotted Towhees during the day - about threefold what I would
expect.
Highlights included 16 Blue-winged Teals at the O'Donnell Playa, 22
Blue-winged Teals at Skeen Playa, 2 Cinnamon Teals at the O'Donnell Playa,
20 Redheads at the CR Y x FM 3332 Playa, 4 Ring-necked Ducks at the CR Y x
