You don't say what town you're in, but they were most likely Franklin's
Gulls. They're migrating north now. Their calls are somewhat similar to
Laughing Gulls, at least from a distance.

The reason I listed them as Laughing gulls was due to the calls they made
as they passed overhead. They sounded like the Laughing gulls I have seen

I know Laughing gulls tend to stay around the coastline but it could be
possible the weather brought some inland?
So, I will list them as unknown gulls, likely a Franklinâs but possible
Laughing.
