Texbirders/Laurie:
Chet Burrier and I had a huge flock of ~700 American White Pelicans passingÂ
north through Falls City (NW Karnes County-southeast of San Antonio) on
Saturday April 1. Also had two huge groups of hawks (~500 birds each--almost
all Broad-winged) in same area.

Pelicans. Thanks everyone for your
help on this!

Texbirders, a friend of mine called me to say that while she wasÂ

formation
overhead in groups of various sizes. These were not kettles.
My question is, have any of you observed any large groups flyingÂ
over the
Austin area this evening?
Thanks for any info. She's just getting into birds and was soÂ
excited!
