I had a chance to stop by Lake Kirby in Abilene this afternoon as I am in town
on business. I'm not sure of the status of a few of the species seen for this
region so I will list all of the water related species. All species were seen
on the SW end of the lake along the dirt tracks

had the black carpal bar of winter plumage)

Sanderling - 4
Buff-breasted Sandpiper - 1
Greater Yellowlegs - 10+
Lesser Yellowlegs - 5
