Just to echo the already posted info of good birds on the coast today Lafitte's Cove was quite good as well. Rachel and I were only able to spend the late afternoon but a few observers spent much of the day. Plenty of Hooded Warblers, Yellow-throated Vireos, Northern Parulas, etc. With new arrivals including Kentucky, Worm-eating and Blue-winged (seen by others). Total warbler species for the day between all the observers was 12. Also noteworthy was a continuing Winter Wren, FOS Chimney Swifts, Great Crested Flycatchers and Wood Thrush. All in all a nice day to get migration rolling. With a strong front expected to move offshore late tonight into early tomorrow odds are that birding will stay fairly good along the coast through early Wednesday.
