Hi all!
Walking my dog this morning I heard a Towhee call from the woods. I knew this
was either an Eastern or Green tailed (I've never really heard Green tailed
call, only seen, but I knew it wasn't a Spotted) running back to the house (and
forgetting the dog in the process) I grabbed my binos to see if I could get a
look. There was barely enough light to see through my binos but I made it work!
I pished and pished but nothing came out. I headed back towards the house, with
the dog this time, before it flew across the road in front of me into some
scrub. Rufous cap, white throat, green overall color. Definite Green tailed.
What a yard bird!
