the day had to be the Groove-billed Ani near Coyote Loop. We were able to
observe the bird from a distance of 10 feet as he sidled through the grass
feeding on seeds. The grooves were clearly visible on the massive bill. An
added bonus was the "live" armadillo that crossed the road about 20 feet
ahead.
