As promised the full report from the Floydada BBS, completed on 27 June
2015. This route runs eastward from a point north of Floydada to a point
north of Dougherty, then southward towards but not to Dougherty, then
westward towards but not to Floydada, all in Floyd County. This route was
a bit challenging with some muddy spots to be negotiated but the sight of
full playas in every direction made the antics worth the while. Waterfowl,
waders, and shorebirds are back in the region - after several yeas of near
absence and Northern Bobwhites, Western Kingbirds, most sparrows, and
Dickcissels were hopping. The full list of critters identified:
