[texbirds] El Franco Lee park 7/28/12 4:45-7:30

Ran over to El Franco Lee to check out the reported Glossy Ibis but dipped
on that. Was there 4:45-7:30 and it never showed. Checked run off pond and
the Gazebo area.
Birds seen:
White Ibis
White-faced Ibis (1)
Snowy Egrets
Killdeer
Spotted Sandpiper
Mottled Duck
Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
Black-necked Stilt
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron (Juv)
Great Egret (Gazebo)
Wood Duck(Gazebo)
Little Blue Heron (Gazebo and pond_
Mourning Dove
Eastern Kingbird
Great-tailed Grackle
Also stopped at the Monument Inn beach at the end of Independence Pkwy.
Mostly Laughing Gulls and Sandwich terns.

Stopped at the San Jacinto SP only to find the road down to the low water
bridge heading to the penninsula
was closed. Sign says utility work!
