Iâve seen a duck in Shoveler Pond at Anahuac NWR of the past two weeks that I
need help with the identification. My first thought was a Mottled Duck since
they are common at the refuge it doesnât look right for that. It is paler
than any Mottled Iâve seen. Someone suggested it might be a Gadwall. That
would be unusual to see one at the refuge in the summer however.
