Tamara Kratzer and I birded Camp Tyler this morning. It was cold and the birds were hopping, with 100-150 sparrows of nine expected species, including my first fall Vesper, White-crowned and Field Sparrows. A Spotted Towhee was a nice surprise. We also had an immature Bald Eagle, 27 Wilson's Snipe and 4 Golden-crowned Kinglets. Peter Barnes Tyler
