Sadly several Brown Boobies that were hanging around the A&M campus in Corpus
Christi were killed by the cold weather. I believe there was one that was
unaccounted for so maybe it survived.

While fishing and birding by boat today in West Bay, and the Intracoastal
Waterway, we were able to locate three Brown Boobies. One was actively
feeding with gulls and terns, near barges, in the Intracoastal Waterway. Got
some photos of this bird and posted them in my eBird report. Later we found
two more Brown Boobies perched on a pole in West Bay, directly north of
Jamaica Beach. It was really good to see that they survived the recent hard
freeze.
