While fishing and birding by boat today in West Bay, and the Intracoastal
Waterway, we were able to locate three Brown Boobies. One was actively feeding
with gulls and terns, near barges, in the Intracoastal Waterway. Got some
photos of this bird and posted them in my eBird report. Later we found two more
Brown Boobies perched on a pole in West Bay, directly north of Jamaica Beach.
It was really good to see that they survived the recent hard freeze.
