Dear Texbirders,
We had a good, but somewhat frustrating morning at Blucher. There were 27
visitors and 59 species of birds reported, including 15 warbler species. The
better birds included numerous Chuck-Will's Widows, Yellow-throated Vireo,
Veery and Golden-winged Warbler. There were numerous Nashville Warblers,
Baltimore Orioles and buntings. Two rather late birds were Brown Thrasher and
Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

A Mourning Warbler was reported Friday afternoon, but could not be found this
morning.

There were lots of birds in the park, but the frustration came from the fact
that they all appeared not to be tired or hungry at all. The birds would zip
into a tree, sit for a couple of seconds and zip to the next tree, sit for a
couple of seconds, etc.

The bird walks at Blucher conclude tomorrow morning. The walks are aimed
primarily at intermediate birders, but all are welcome.

Thanks to Phyllis Hibdon, Michael Egar and Judith Reader for hosting.
