On a beautiful morning we started off with 9 people and a lot more Indigo
Buntings, Brown Thrashers and Gray Catbirds than we normally see at the
Nature Center. Later after three of our group had to leave we found the bird
or
birds of the day. Three Nelson's Sparrows off the board walk over the
marsh. When you leave the butterfly garden heading across the street the road
right across from the porta can turns into board walk and all three were on
the right side of the boardwalk. This was only the second time I have seen
any of them on the right side. Overall a very good day for this early in
the fall and tides to high for the peeps we often get when the water is lower.
