.
Finished up a few points in Bastrop SP this morning with some nice spring
stuff. Most notable is the return of at least one mostly HO Brown-crested
Flycatcher ....Since the fire there are no shortages of cavities and
bluebirds are very common.
Sayersville Rd was pretty slow except for some migrating raptors including
a few Miss. Kites and a bunch of Blue-winged Teal... Upland Sandpipers
were here and there on the short grass pastures Yellow-throated Vireos
were singing in riparian areas. A dozen or so Scissortails.
A La, Waterthrush was belting it out on Sandy Creek on Arbuckle Rd.
Closer to my place, on Coon Neck Rd. my FOS Green Heron fly by..
Roadrunners moaning all over .They sound so very poor.
