This morning widespread light to moderate rain is occurring across southern
Texas moving NE to the upper Texas coast. Brownsville NEXRAD is actually
showing a very light "doughnut" pattern which is caused by birds overflying
the NEXRAD station and continuing northward. This is the first of these
migration signatures that I have seen this season. Trans-Gulf migrants are
visible offshore from Brownsville and Corpus and arriving in the
Houma-Grand Isle sector by midday.
