Hello Tex Birders,
A fine yet breezy day with 7 folks still yielded the expected species for
this habitat, although the recent rains have left all but the major road
across the Bahia Grande in sticky mud condition. The species list follows.
Today's highlight came at the end when two Chihuahuan Ravens sitting on a
powerline above Hwy 100 were chased towards us by a pair of Aplomado
Falcons, giving us perfect views Tiring of the chase, they settled into
the often used mesquite snag next to the van. A great way to end the tour!
