I birded the North American Butterfly Association in Mission where I had
excellent views of 3 American and 2 Clay-colored Robins together at a
puddle of water in the trail in the wooded area. Whenever I visit the LRGV
I have to remember they are found in small numbers here.
Yesterday I birded at Frontera Audubon in Weslaco briefly where both a
Ringed and Belted Kingfisher were vocalizing a lot. Frontera is compact so
provides the opportunity for closer views of birds such as these
kingfishers that are more distant at other nature areas in the Valley.

Colorado birder currently in Port Isabel
