other 5% would be a bad flyback. Replace the 2 parts again, remove the crt bd
from the blue crt and try again. If the parts do not burn up again, there is
your problem.

to Q906 (2SD1556) and R934 (0.33 ohm, 1/2 W, 5% metal) both being extremely
fried. This was true for both sets.

Obviously I have overlooked something. I have been over the main board and
power supply boards of both of these sets and can not find a problem. I
have compared flyback (T900) windings and such to a known good one that I
have and kind find no differences there.

checking r934 looks to be a .33ohm (open) and hot 2sd1556 (shorted). I
replaced both parts and removed the hv lead from splitter to flyback. tried
to turn set on and it opened r934 but did not short the HOT. Other sets I
have worked on it took out the HOT also. The #'s on flyback looks to be
364071-6 ----not sure hard to read the last No. could be a 5. Does anyone
have the correct #'s for this fly. Oh, this set had sound but no pic and I
do know about the blue tube cracks. Can an arching tube cause r934 to open
and not take out the HOT before I order a fly?? TIA
