Look next to the jungle chip IC U1001.There is a small blue square 
"crystal" that is known to become intermittant. It is called the "32X 
horizontal " resonator and is the reference for the deflection 
oscillator.Had several do this. Mostly if watching it while shutting 
down, will see some jagged horizontal piecrusting just before.

Also look closely at one or two lytics next to it, sometimes also bad.
