yeah, very true! But I'm not in need to upgrade to XP as long as I can run
everything eficiently on 98SE. Many on this this list agree it's not worth
the money. I'm  WAAAY too cheap to spend $170 for XP pro to get no real
benefit.

I'm presently experimenting with a couple of linux based freeware machines.
IMHO it's more stable than windows, runs faster, and needs alot less system
resources. I can do just about everything I need on these, including reading
PDF files, etc. The app's load slower, but once up, they run very fast, so I
just leave them open.

The down side is that it's not so "plug 'n play" and most industry stuff
(such as chipper check) are windows based at this time. However, I think
this may change in the not so distant future.
