if it helps
every new 2sd1880/81 transistor i have used over the last several years has
@ 45-50 ohms internal resistance across base and emitter.
This is normal and if it is lower than 45 ohms its bad if its over 50 ohms
its bad. I have beckman and fluke meters and they all read same resistance.
if you have a meter reading 50 ohms as 150 ohms your meter needs repair,
check against a known resistor value for comparison.
