I think the replacement value is dropping so fat with the Technology,
that by the time we get the unit for repair, the price of the parts are
more then replacement.
We have all been there, and now....more and more.

With DVD recorders supposed to be selling for $199.00 US by Christmas,
repairing this Yamaha for well over $1000 would definitely not be worth
it.
I found out recently that the picture tube for my 1992 Panasonic GAOO
27" TV was over $1400 Canadian--from Panasonic. Apparently they were
going to go back to the factory and build me a new one!
