It all depends on what you do with your computer system. For guys like
us who use the computer to go online (research/emails) or use the
computer for databases or invoice programs then a 1-2Gig hard drive is
more then ample. However there are some of us who edit videos like me,
in this case large hard drives are required to store digitized videos. I
do a considerable amount of DVD stuff where I take customers old family
movies, videos, etc and convert them into DVD's. I personally am using
one 250Gig hard drive in one system, it's a Western Digital BTW, and I
use two 80Gig hard drives in my other system (they are also Western
Digital). I've always liked Western Digital.

I'd like just ONE person who can explain to me, why anyone would need a
250
Gig hard drive. I'm almost convinced that the larger the Hard drive
capacity,..the LESS reliable they are likely to be.
