It all depends on what you do with your computer system. For guys like us who use the computer to go online (research/emails) or use the computer for databases or invoice programs then a 1-2Gig hard drive is more then ample. However there are some of us who edit videos like me, in this case large hard drives are required to store digitized videos. I do a considerable amount of DVD stuff where I take customers old family movies, videos, etc and convert them into DVD's. I personally am using one 250Gig hard drive in one system, it's a Western Digital BTW, and I use two 80Gig hard drives in my other system (they are also Western Digital). I've always liked Western Digital.
