If you can save them as, or convert them to JPEG files, *.jpg, you would
have much smaller files. Try using Print Shop to scan, I think you'll be
able to save as various file types, and JPEG is one type.

I sometimes scan sections of schematics, and save it to the hard drive
as an .rtf file (rich text format) as most scanners do. Trouble is just
one page is usually 10 to 15 megs in size.I scanned a Zenith schemo that
needed two pages,one was 11,the other was 13 megs.Text mode!Too large to
send to an email address, or sending to the archives. Is there a better
way that compresses the scans? 2-3 megs would be maximum I think.
