Glenn and Robert, thanks for the info. Do you know what temperature that thermal fuse is rated at? I'm not going to send an order to the USA to import a $2.00 part but I do have some fuses here. I have some NTE8149's but they are rated at 306 deg. F which seems way too high for this application. Do I mount the external thermal fuse to the side of the transformer or should I mount it up against the winding?
