[TechAssist] Re: [TV] CTC169 - Dead - FIXED

Peggs,

I do own a ESR meter and it found several bad capacitors around U4104
(TEA2261). I replaced 2.2uf/100v, 15uf/50v, 39uf/50v and 470uf/50v; this
brought the TV back to life. I'm lucky because I'm told a stressed
2.2uf/100v cap can take out the chopper transistor and TEA2261 IC.
Thanks to all who responded, you know who you are.

If you have an ESR meter(get one if you don't)...........check the Caps
around the TEA2261
