Set would come on after about 20 seconds of led blinking (when cold) then a
code blink of 5 and picture came on but very bright and faint video. code 5 is
AKB so checked the IK line and found constant 4.4 volts on line, all tubes were
the same brightness so tubes were assumed ok. checked further on each IK line
of each tube and found the blue was holding the line at 4.4v. Static check of
Q762 and Q764 on board CB were ok out of circuit but Q764 was breaking down
under load. Replace Q764 2SA1091 with a suitable replacement solved the IK
problem.
