Phil,
I would only use the customer's part, if there was no other choice...but I
wouldn't give a
warranty with it. I only give a warranty when I buy the part and know where it
came from.

Guy calls with a 1977 Zenith, all red. A guy fixed it 15 years ago "for
this same thing" for ten bucks labor in home + parts.
It took a "box", "you know,the one that fixes the all red picture". "I
have an extra one, I bought two" he apparently means the 9-155-01 CRT
board, and the ol guy sold him an extra, as they will be NLA when you
need it again... Wanted it "plugged in" in home. 50-60 bucks trip+ labor
not acceptable... other guy took "a few bucks" to do it.
I passed, reluctantly, that cash cow.
Second call:
Guy asks" do Joo sell bulbs?"
Bulbs???
Jes...Bulbs. for da tv's.
It a Zenitt twenty-fi in TB.
If you mean TUBES, TVs have not used those in thirty years. You need
havea solid state circuit board serviced!
Jes...Oh... OK.Buy...
Geesh!
Call three:
I have a 27" Zenith PIP TV/monitor. (hi-end) 8 years old. never one
problem. has some kind of lines in picture. With these CHEEEP TVs
around, should I just buy one of the cheeeep ones? They're so cheep,
afterall, ya know.
Yeah. Cheap walmart TVs.Whatever you pay, thats what they're worth.
China's best junk. Expect 8 years out of that? 8 months is pushing it.
He's bringing his in.
Is it five O'clock yet???
