Phil,

I've seen them.
Basically, its a way to get around paying fifty bucks or more per game,
although there are other features.

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony Playstation 2 ver.4 mod kit?

I was contacted on the phone by a person who said he has a Playstation 2
Game console and has a "mod kit" and fifteen page directions manual he
downloaded off the web.Sounds involved. Seems to include a small SMD IC
and other things to solder on the main board.Maybe replace a chip, add
jumpers, bypass, etc.End result is to back up games, play other games
normally not possible, and I think to burn games(?).Basically enhance the
thing. Not sure, anyone hear of this? he has been calling everywhere
around here to no avail.
Any "gamers" out there?
