Autoprograms all channels to Ch26 then jumps to 78. It will not tune any
thing above ch26 manually and It will not tune anything above 78 either. I have
5v-9v-12v&30v. at the tuner. The clock, data & latch enable pulses are normal
except above ch 26 the clock pulses change dramatically. The data and latch
enable pulses are a bit unsteady but they are there with the same amplitude and
shape. The horiz sync is present at pins 1&6. This looks more like an eeprom to
me. What say you ?

2 questions.....Can you Direct-dial-in channels above 26 to 78? Yes/No
If you Autoprogram, does it step thru the 26 to 78 band while it's
Autoprogramming? Yes/No.

The direct-dial question will indicate the Micro is capable of commanding
the tuner.
The Autoprogram question will indicate the software in the Micro is
correctly working.

Next question, if you Autoprogram and it steps thru 26 to 78, does it lock
in ANY stations?
ABOVE 26 Yes/No
Below 26 Yes/No
Above 78 Yes/No

You should have a 5V , a 9V, a 12V and a 30 V supply present at the
tuner......got those?
Pin3 Ic101 = AFT

Pin41 - clock
Pin31 - data
Pin 14 -latch/enable
These should be present with 5 V data at the Tuner...the latch may only have
activity when the tuner gets an active command or possibly only during
Autoprogram.

The AFT voltage may be a steady-state voltage which only "fine-tunes" the
tuner, thus the Micro would create it, which means the Micro would need to
see sync....(pin 1 and 6 of micro has H sync). Check those too.

Tuning is controlled by I/C 101 Micro. I/C 102 is eeprom. Question, can a
defective eeprom cause this symptom. Have replaced tuner.
