Well, I thought I had this liked, but problem is back. Just has no RF Input
at all with black Screen when it fails.
I replaced the 33KResistor anyway near tuner although it tested ok - was
R104 I think, Defluxed the heck out of the PCB....resoldered all the IC's,
and IF Coils
and other items that look RF Related....still have problem.

Thought problem was Intermittent - Still not sure. If I put the unit on
after its unplugged a While, the problem is usually there. If I flex the
board a little on the end hanging off the plastic Tracks, the Signal comes
on fine. Thing Is I cant seem to make it go off by flexing the board some
more. At one point I had it all buttoned up, playing fine ready to release
to Cust, and I tilted the TV backwards to get something under it, and it
quit. It did seem to put pressure on the RF Connector on the REAR a little
when I did this....but after moving that around in every direction I can
think of - Still cant make it come or Go....? Any ideas? The Connector is
part of one of those Can Type assemblies that have a Cap inside, and an RCA
Jack wire on the other End. There is a 33 MEG Resistor in series with the
Shield on this assy which I mentioned earlier. Apparently, the Tuner Ground
Conflicts severely with earth ground as I discovered before....hence the
Resistor. Could the Resistor be dropping the Signal too much? I did replace
it anyway with another 33 MEG Just to be sure. Would it be safer to go
lower, perhaps 10 MEg?

Hey Thanks Randy. Sure enough, that was all was wrong.

I did find however after I resoldered the Entire Tuner, I again had
Stations, but they all went out again after playing about 4-10 mins.

I decided to Flex the Main PCB, and sure enough, my stations Came back. I
resoldered the Jumper Wires on the PCB that Lead to the Tuner Pads, and also
after tracing them to their destination, found they were going to the Main
Micro, which looked like it was badly soldered. After all the resoldering, I
have a Solid Repair.

Was Working on the Tuner on this, and accidently bypassed the 33 Meg
Resistor in line with Antenna Shield and Tuner Shield. Set dead now , just
has Relay Click.
R601 is a Square Ceramic Standoff Resistor With Markings: 3R3 , reads
totally open. Its in line with the Relay contacts..and is hopefully all that
is wrong.

Can anyone Verify this is about the correct value I am guessing : 3 Ohms , 3
Watts?
