Remove using Sony removal T998-607-35 and clean cable lead and scrape the inside of the flyback connection. Insert a small 1/4 inch spring ( like found inside a pen and cut down to 1/4 inch) inside the flyback HV lead hole then reinsert the HV lead. Somehow the spring tension is lost inside the flyback and causes this arcing. > > Tony Saracco > TCS ELECTRONICS > Elgin , IL 60120 > 847-695-1928 > tcselectronics@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > **************************************************************************** * > The Tech Address Book: > http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/contact.html > Add a Repair Tip Here, or Change/Remove your Email Address: > http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Lost your Login Info?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > > ***************************************************************************** The Tech Address Book: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/contact.html Add a Repair Tip Here, or Change/Remove your Email Address: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Lost your Login Info?".
